Chesapeake's only security group of its own is a student cyber club at Tidewater Community College, but ISSA Hampton Roads holds a free Friday evening networking social at Tap-It Local on Grassfield Parkway roughly once a month. The chapter's monthly talks, DC757 hacker meetups and the 2600 meeting take place elsewhere in Hampton Roads, in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Hampton. The first BSides Hampton Roads runs October 9 and 10, 2026 at Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

The college's cyber team (T4) won the community college division of the 2024 Virginia Cyber Cup, and TCC placed third in that division at the Commonwealth Cyber Fusion and Virginia Cyber Cup at VMI in Lexington on February 20 and 21, 2026. The club co-hosted CyberForge 2024 with CVCSA at the Virginia Beach Campus on February 10 and 11, 2024.
